“Love is the name for our pursuit of wholeness, for our desire to be complete.”
Plato, The Symposium
Hi! Thanks for checking out my website. I’m Jamie, I’m a nationally certified master’s level therapist working within the greater Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area. I’m born and raised in Dayton, OH. I’ve taught English and studied in South America (2014 and 2016). I’ve lived in KY, CA, and AZ. I have family in Puerto Rico, Cincinnati and some stamps in my passport. This allows me to work with clients from a variety of backgrounds and experiences. Over the last several years I have invested a significant amount of time and money in my own individual counseling, experiential learnings, and business coaching. Before being empowered, I found myself “white knuckling” through life. Today, I’m living at my apex due to God’s grace. I’ve also eliminated all my insecurities and defenses by having a therapist who was pivotal in my transformation (after trying many). I navigate the challenges of life better than before and I’m confident I can lead you to the same with your clients/patients. At the moment, I am seeking mission minded Christian Health professionals who desire to truly transform their clients and are having difficulty using their current methods. In the near future, I hope my in depth course can provide clarity to the confusion of how best to transform mental health clients from the inside out.
Statement of faith
The Bible
I believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God, useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
God
I believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:14).
Jesus Christ
I believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day (John 1:1, Luke 1:26-35, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4). He ascended to heaven and will return in power and glory (Acts 1:9-11).
Salvation
I believe that salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone (Ephesians 2:8-9). It is a gift of God, not by works, and it involves repentance and belief in Jesus as Lord and Savior (Acts 2:38, Romans 10:9-10).
The Holy Spirit
I believe the Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, regenerates the believer, and dwells within all who are saved, guiding and empowering them for holy living and service (John 16:7-11, Galatians 5:22-23).
Marriage
I believe that marriage is a sacred covenant designed by God to unite one man and one woman as husband and wife. This union reflects Christ’s relationship with the Church and is the foundation for family and human flourishing (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6, Ephesians 5:31-33). Marriage is to be honored by all and upheld according to biblical principles (Hebrews 13:4).
The Church
I believe the Church is the body of Christ, made up of all believers united in Him. The Church is called to worship, fellowship, discipleship, and to spread the Gospel to the world (1 Corinthians 12:12-14, Matthew 28:19-20).
Humanity
I believe all people are created in the image of God but have sinned and fallen short of His glory (Genesis 1:26-27, Romans 3:23). Through faith in Christ, we are reconciled to God and restored to fellowship with Him.
Eternity
I believe in the resurrection of the saved to eternal life and the unsaved to eternal separation from God (John 5:28-29, Revelation 20:11-15).
Christian Living
I believe that as followers of Christ, we are called to love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and to love others as ourselves (Mark 12:30-31). We are to walk in obedience to His Word, growing in holiness and reflecting His character (Romans 12:1-2, Galatians 2:20).
